The death toll exceeded 800. Syrian army continues its operations against the areas controlled by the opposition in capital Damascus.
The initial response of the Syrian opposition to Kofi Annan's plan was that they will not accept the plan.
Syrian army has broken 10 day long resistance of the opposition and entered Duma neighborhood of Damascus where the army units are spilling blood.
The view is indifferent in many other places of the country.
The monthly killing rate was 900 during the last 16 months of popular uprising in Syria while the number of people killed within the last week exceeded 800.
While violence in the country is escalating all eyes are set on new Annan Plan approved at Syria Action Group meeting in Geneva.
The new plan envisages to form a transitional government including Syrian Baas Regime and the opposition however there is names of Bashar Assad and his close aids are not clearly mentioned in the plan.
Several groups of the Syrian opposition have said that they will not accept any plan including Assad.
The absolute answer of the opposition will be clear after its meeting at the Arab League Headquarters in Cairo today.
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu will represent Turkey at the meeting which will be participated by various opposition groups from Syria.
Assad government did not issue any official statement on the plan however a semi-official Syrian Revolution Newspaper wrote that the future of Syria will not be determined from outside but by the Syria people themselves.
Some contradictory statements are being issued by the participant countries of the Syria Action Group.
According to United States and France plan favors removal of Assad regime from power while Russia states that the plan does not have any projection against Assad government.
