A statement made by the Ministry says that the Foreign Minister has made no mention of any country at that meeting.

It says further that what Foreign Minister Davutoğlu made a point of in his speech was the necessity, in the light of the close attention in and the high participation rate at the meeting, to work to ramp up pressure on the Syrian regime and isolate the supporters of the regime to get them to change their attitude. It also says that the assessment made by Davutoğlu mirrors a step thought of as necessary in order to end the human tragedy played out in Syria.

The statement says that there existed channels at the meeting of regular consultation and dialogue to take up differences about Syria in a clear and transparent way with all countries, including Russia and China.

The Foreign Ministry statement also says that presenting the matter by citing the differences of view regarding Syria as a problem between Turkey and Russia is a deliberate distortion to twist facts.
